The existing workflow-financial system integration between Ultimus BPM and Qbyte was not operating at an acceptable performance level. There were significant processing delays and the extended transaction times were negatively impacting the business.
The integration relied on several technologies including .NET web services, Oracle DB components as well as API interfaces into the workflow and financial systems.
Detailed monitoring, troubleshooting and review identified several opportunities to improve performance.
Updates included db tuning and indexing, DB and .Net code refactoring as well as minor application configuration changes. Changes were applied, tested and moved to production and no further performance issues were encountered.
